Daniel and Ebony’s story began in the most unexpected way—through a social media post at the start of Covid. A mutual friend had shared their frustration online about a statewide cable outage. Ebony left a comment on the post, and Daniel, always quick to help and ever the salesman, chimed in with a fix. Soon after, he reached out to Ebony directly—first to check if her issue was resolved, and then to offer his streaming service. Daniel asked for a meet and greet to view the service in May.At first, Ebony was hesitant. But two months later, she decided to give it a try. They agreed to meet at a local Panera Bread after work for what was meant to be a quick exchange. Instead, the simple meeting turned into a five-hour conversation that stretched late into the night. That day marked the start of something much greater—what began as a business connection grew into a strong friendship and thriving partnership.Nearly ten months later, Daniel revealed his deeper interest. Yet by then, a solid foundation had already been built. For two years, they nurtured their friendship with intentional care, creating a bond of trust and respect. Daniel became a steady source of biblical wisdom and encouragement, while Ebony offered him peace, strength, and unconditional support. By late 2023, they knew it was time to make their relationship official.Their first official date took place in Charlotte, NC, after Daniel’s flight was unexpectedly delayed. Ebony drove to meet him, and together they turned the inconvenience into a memorable weekend of laughter, simplicity, and discovery. Ebony often says, “When life gives you lemons, you make orange aid and leave everyone wondering how you did it.” That weekend made it clear to them both: it would be Daniel and Ebony, side by side, against the world.Since then, they have been inseparable. They delight in traveling with friends, dancing, fine dining, cooking late-night meals, or enjoying quiet mornings together. Daniel, who affectionately calls Ebony his “Lioness,” they treasures their prayer and devotion moments they both hold most dear.On July 19, 2025, surrounded by close friends and cheered on by their families, Daniel proposed during a trip to New York. His nerves ran high that day, with both families receiving play-by-play updates as he finalized the plan. That evening, he took Ebony to the Skylark Rooftop Lounge &amp; Bar, where the Empire State Building and skyline glittered behind them. There, on the rooftop, Daniel asked Ebony to spend forever with him.And with a radiant smile, she said yes

 Hello! My name is Sheneka Sawyer, and I am proudly embracing my 42 years of life, filled with vibrant experiences and cherished memories. I am a proud mother of two wonderful boys, aged 26 and 13, and I am also the joyful grandmother to three energetic grandkids who light up my world. Currently, I work as a teacher.  Over the past few years, Ive poured my heart into nurturing young minds and creating a loving, safe environment where they can learn and grow.A significant highlight in my life has been the friendship Ive found in Ebony, whom I believe was meant to be a part of my journey for the long haul, not just a fleeting moment. Our paths first crossed at church when I was new to the city. I remember feeling a bit anxious, wondering if I would be able to form meaningful connections in an unfamiliar place. However, Ebony welcomed me with open arms and enveloped me in her warmth and generosity right from the start.From those initial moments of kindness, our bond blossomed into a true sisterhood. She became an integral part of my life and my family, offering unwavering support and a compassionate heart whenever I faced personal struggles. Ebony has always been there for me without question, and I can confidently say that anything I’ve shared with her has remained just between us. Her loyalty and confidentiality have created a safe space for me to be vulnerable.It’s a delightful coincidence that we share the same birthday, which Ebony often jokes about, teasing that she’s like my big sister because she is a couple of years older. What truly makes our relationship special, however, is the divine connection we share. I love seeing the presence of the Holy Spirit in her life, and it’s that spiritual bond that has drawn us even closer together.We often laugh about our mutual struggle to remember to pick up the phone and call each other, which sometimes results in misunderstandings. Yet, I believe that this adds to the authenticity of our connection. I wholeheartedly believe that God places people in our lives for a reason – whether it’s for just a season or for a lifetime. In Ebony, I’ve discovered a sister for life.Daniel, I sincerely ask that you treat my sister with the love and respect she deserves. I pray that you both find strength in each other and in your shared faith as you journey forward together. Remember, in the eyes of the Lord, when two come together in agreement, something beautiful happens. I wish you both the very best as you embark on this path of love and commitment. And, as you make your vows to each other, always remember that you have a strong network of sisters behind you, ready to support and celebrate you both. Even if its us dressing in all black like the old time favorite Notorious B.I.G. states for the homies lol The bond I share with you, Ebony, feels as strong as family — no blood could make us Closer.
